The 1,800-year-old Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Roman amphitheatre on the south slope of the Acropolis, the Athens Epidaurus theatre, hosts the Epidaurus Greek Festival every summer (from June to August), and includes numerous performances, such as modern theatre, ancient drama, ballet, jazz, opera, classical music, and art, in numerous theatres around Athens, as well as in Epidaurus.
