Suzane M.Samy is half Tatana, half Indian, a child of mixed marriage. In 2009, Suzane arrived at the conclusion that the Dusun Tatana, her mother’s heritage, was suffering a slow, but undeniable death, through cultural curtailment, encroachment, and linguistic denigration. She thus embarked on a project to overturn the forest, literally; to revitalize the Dusun Tatana heritage, and all its cultural elements.
